Used to treat and prevent copper deficiency in cattle, sheep and deer, CopperSure contains calcium copper edetate, allowing for faster absorption and fewer injection site reactions. Why choose CopperSure? Copper is essential for enzyme function, bone development, nerve signalling, immunity and coat health. However, much of New Zealand’s soil is naturally low in copper, which can lead to deficiency in grazing animals. This is how copper deficiency affects the animal:
Copper deficiency may present as primary deficiency, when dietary copper levels are significantly low, or secondary deficiency. Secondary copper deficiency is often caused by antagonism from other dietary minerals (e.g. molybdenum, sulphur or iron), which interfere with copper absorption. ✔ Zero withholding period (milk and meat) ✔ Rapid copper response ✔ Individual animal injection is much more reliable than any trough/pasture treatment. ✔ Excellent syringability |
Dosage:
Dairy and beef cattle: 2 mL. Dosage may be increased up to a maximum of 4 mL if severe copper deficiency has been confirmed through clinical symptoms or liver biopsy.
