CobaltSure is a short-acting injectable supplement for the treatment and control of cobalt deficiency in sheep and cattle. It provides protection in a single treatment, helping maintain growth, reduce ill thrift and support energy and immunity.
Why choose CobaltSure?
Vitamin B12 is essential for the production and function of numerous enzymes and chemical reactions in the body. However, soils in New Zealand are often deficient or marginal in cobalt, leading to a lack of vitamin B12 in body tissues—and consequently, poor growth rates and ill-thrift, particularly in young stock.
If liver storage levels of vitamin B12 and pasture cobalt levels are low, treatment is likely to last only 4-6 weeks. Treatment of pregnant ruminants, especially in the later stages of pregnancy, may also benefit newborn animals.
Supplementation of young ruminants should begin at or before weaning. Seek veterinary advice if poor stock condition continues after treatment.
CobaltSure is available as 2000 units or 1000 units of vitamin B12, with or without selenium. Ask your veterinarian which option is best for your needs:
